Delaware Bird-A-Thon: Youth Award Winners!

At the annual Delmarva Ornithological Society picnic in June, the awards for the 2011 Delaware Bird-A-Thon were handed out to recognize the top fundraising efforts. Delaware Dunlins members Dominic (above) and Kathleen (below) took the top two spots as individual youth fund raisers. Congratulations Dominic and Kathleen!
In the Youth team category, the team of Nick Mielnickiewicz (above) and Mike Hudson (not pictured) raised more than $1,000 for the Delaware Bird-A-Thon through their participation in the World Series of Birding in New Jersey. Great job Mike and Nick!
And a big thank you to all of the supporters who pledged funds to these youth birders’ efforts to raise money for bird conservation in Delaware!
